The Perpetual Guardian Foundation prides itself on being able to reach donors and the causes they care about, from anywhere in New Zealand. We understand that New Zealand consists of a range of diverse communities, so our reach ensures that our donors can provide opportunity for all those communities to live and thrive. As a national home for change makers, our funds cover a broad variety of sectors through which we work hard to match the founding vision of our clientele to the needs of the philanthropic sector in New Zealand.
Health and Wellbeing Funds
Our health and wellbeing funds span multiple sectors, contributing to raising the collective quality of life and wellbeing for all Kiwis.
Supporting mental well-being in mothers, particularly new mothers.
Enables world-class medical research that can help save lives.
Advancing education, research and analysis in regards to economic and community development of the future of work, with health and wellbeing at its core.
Creating an endowment to support and advocate for the 1 in 6 New Zealanders with Bowel Cancer.
Creating an endowment to support and advocate for the 14 kiwis diagnosed with gut cancer everyday.
Creating an endowment that enables the Rotorua Community Hospice to continue providing hope and dignity through exemplary palliative care to patients and their whanau.
Education Funds
Our education funds support educational pathways across multiple sectors, from those starting out on their learning journey, through to Kiwis at the top of their research game.
Supporting New Zealand nurses into education, and higher education.
Supporting University of Auckland students, and aspirational students who might not otherwise have the opportunity to participate and/or succeed at the same level without a scholarship. Particularly in the fields of English and Medicine.
Supporting students at Victoria University, and aspirational students who might not otherwise have the opportunity to participate and/or succeed at the same level without a scholarship.
Supporting University of Otago students, and aspirational students who might not otherwise have the opportunity to participate and/or succeed at the same level without a scholarship. Particularly in the field of Medicine.
Supporting Massey University students, and aspirational students who might not otherwise have the opportunity to participate and/or succeed at the same level without a scholarship. Particularly in the fields of Farming and Veterinary Science.
Supporting students from Matamata, and Matamata College into tertiary education.
Supporting students from Motueka into tertiary education.
Local Community Funds
Our community funds connect generous Kiwis with place-based philanthropy with an aim of building long-term, reliable funding streams for their local communities.

Environmental and Heritage Funds
Our environmental and heritage funds align generous Kiwis with the organisations contributing to New Zealand’s rich culture and heritage to create unique environments for future generations.
Creating an endowment to help preserve the heritage of New Zealand’s Maritime history. As one of the most maritime-based nations in the world , almost all of us has a story that is affected by the sea – through immigration, trade, design, innovation and leisure.
Creating a legacy of environmental and educational excellence for the benefit of future generations of New Zealanders.
The RSA care for all current and former service personnel impacted by service for New Zealand. This fund ensures that they and their families get the support they need.
In partnership with MOTAT, this fund is about preserving the history of New Zealand’s participation in the Royal Airforce Bomber Command.
